Scalp micropigmentation for baldness uk. SMP for a new hairline and scalp camouflage to give the illusion on a full thick head of hair.

Scalp Camouflage - (Scalp Micropigmentation)

What is scalp micropigmentation? A knowingly life changing cosmetic procedure to treat hair loss or thinning hair. It’s sometimes called a hair tattoo or referred to as SMP. We apply microscopic spots of pigment to the scalp using thin, minuscule needles. These specks give the impression that the hair is much thicker and full from the root. Your scalp's thinning and bald spots are completely concealed. It also covers scars. If you are bald, the procedure can also provide the appearance of buzz cut or shaven hair. Scalp micropigmentation is a non-invasive procedure that doesn't need for anaesthesia or surgery. Although it sounds simple enough, you must choose your provider carefully. You need someone with a steady hand, gentle touch, extreme eye for detail and who will ever so carefully ensure every single faux follicle is executed with utmost precision otherwise your scalp will be ruined in seconds.. lego hair anyone?! Rest assured, at Kandor you are in the safest hands.

Who is elegible for scalp micropigmentation? If you are over 18 with thinning hair, or a bald head you are eligible, however you will still need to have a consultation to determine what can be achieved in your personal circumstance. You are also eligible if you have -

  • Alopecia

  • Chemotherapy-related hair loss. (Must have finished all chemo treatment!)

  • Hair loss in women.

  • Hormonal conditions that cause hair loss, including PCOS (if controlled).

  • Male pattern baldness, patchy hairline or baldness at the crown of the head.

  • Thin hair or scalp show-through.

  • Scars or birthmarks on the scalp (Nothing raised - we will go around this).

How much is it for scalp micropigmentation? Most won’t tell you this until you have a consultation - annoying right? We can give you some ball park figures so you have an idea however it is true, it is hard to let you know until you show us your scalp to know how many sessions you will need.

  • Ball park small patch of hair loss - £150 per session

  • Ball park full head (buzz cut/bald) - £400 per session

  • Ball park full head (complete alopecia) - £500 per session

  • Ball park density treatment - £400 per session

  • Ball park touch ups - £100 per session

(This works out much cheaper than seeing a barber/hairdresser over the same time period that the treatment will last!)

How many sessions will I need? Again, this is on a case by case basis but usually 90% of people need 3 sessions, occasionally 4.

Can I set up a payment plan? Yes, we can take a payment each session to make it easier for you, or you can pay it off before your appointment date.

Can women have scalp micropigmentation? YES!

Is there any downtime? No. You can go back to your daily activities immediately, including going back to work.

How long does it last? The procedure, with the right care will last 2-3 years but it is recommended you have a yearly touch up to freshen it up.

Does scalp micropigmentation grow hair? The process of scalp micro-pigmentation does neither alter or stimulate natural hair growth. It won’t damage your existing hair follicles.

Is there any aftercare? Yes. Do not touch or get your hair wet for 4 days. On the fifth day you can wash your scalp. On the fifth day you can start moisturising your scalp 3 times a day. This is essential because if your scalp is dry on your next session, we will not be able to carry out the procedure because it will not work!
